IIT Ropar [IITR] : Scholarships

1. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to about 25% of undergraduate students in engineering and technology. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 1000 for general-category students and an exemption from tuition fees.
2. SC/ST Scholarship: SC/ST students are eligible for a tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend of Rs. 300.
3. Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates: The top 7% of the students in each 4-year BTech. Programmes are awarded merit prizes of Rs. 2500.
4. Scholarship for ASEAN Students: This scholarship is offered to students from ASEAN member states pursuing a Master's degree in any natural sciences or engineering discipline. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, accommodation, and food expenses.

In addition to these scholarships, IIT Ropar offers many other financial assistance schemes, such as need-based, hostel, and sports scholarships.
