NITTE MIT is one of the reputed private engineering colleges in Bangalore runs under NITTE Educational Trust. The firm was founded by Late Justice Kowdoor Sadananda Hegde. The trust is operating from 1979. Under the banner of the trust are several institutions which include Nitte University and institutions of higher education like Engineering, Management, Medicine, Dental, Pharmaceuticals, Paramedical, Higher Education and several other schools in Mangalore with around 10,000 students and 3500 Employees. The educational institution has received autonomous status by UGC. The institution is accredited by NAAC with A Grade, its programmes are accredited by NBA and approved by AICTE.
