IIT Patna [IITP] : Scholarships

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for UG Students, including MSc.): This scholarship is for deserving and needy students. The amount of scholarship depends on the category of the student. The scholarship for General and OBC students is Rs. 1,000/- per month for two semesters (8 semesters in a year) and a free tuition fee. The scholarship includes free messing, exemption from hostel room rent, and a monthly pocket allowance of Rs. 250/- per SC and ST students.
National Scholarships: IIT Patna offers several national scholarships to students, such as the National Merit Scholarship, the National Talent Scholarship, and the National Defence Scholarship. The Government of India funds these scholarships and financially assists students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Institute Scheme Scholarships: IIT Patna also offers several institute-specific scholarships, such as the IIT Patna Merit Scholarship, the IIT Patna Sports Scholarship, and the IIT Patna Cultural Scholarship. These scholarships are funded by IIT Patna and are awarded to students who have excelled in academics, sports, or culture.
