During the placement drive of 2021-2022, a total of 170 students (157 from UG courses and 13 from PG courses) were successfully placed.

The training and placement cell at IIT Indore actively conducts workshops, mock interviews, personality development sessions, and industry interactions to boost students' confidence and prepare them for the placement process.

The responsibility of conducting the placement drive at IIT Indore lies with the training and placement cell, which works tirelessly to invite companies, coordinate placement activities, and ensure successful student placements.

Students belonging to categories SW (Sponsored candidates), DF (Defence Personnel), and IS (International Students) are exempted from submitting GATE scores for MTech admissions. They can directly send their applications to the respective program head.

IIT Indore offers Ph.D. in 7 areas of specialization under Humanities. These areas include Economics, Psychology, Philosophy, English, Sociology, and History.

The total intake for BTech admissions at IIT Indore is 200 seats. Each specialization has 40 seats available for admission.

International students applying for MTech programs at IIT Indore must submit valid TOEFL, IELTS, or GATE scores. Additionally, they must submit other relevant documents and may be called for an interview.

International applicants must submit the following documents scanned in a single PDF and email them to the concerned program coordinator/head:

1. Who are eligible for scholarships at IIT Indore for MS (Research) programs?

Only Teaching Assistantship (TA) applicants fulfilling their responsibilities are qualified for scholarships at IIT Indore for MS (Research) programs. Applicants from SW, DF, IS, and international students are not offered any scholarships as they are not eligible.

IIT Indore provides provisions for students enrolled in 4-month PG programs to convert into M—Tech+PhD or MS+PhD dual degree programs only in the last semester of their study. The upgradation depends upon the student's academic performance and the office's discretion.
