IIT Indore offers a range of academic programs, including BTech, Dual Degree, MS, MTech, MSc, and PhD. Admission to the BTech program is determined by the candidates' performance in both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, followed by participation in the JoASSA counseling process. For postgraduate programs, such as MS, MTech, MSc, and Ph.D., prospective students are selected based on their GATE or JAM examination scores. However, all applicants must ensure they meet the specific eligibility criteria set by IIT Indore before applying to their desired courses which are given below sections.

To apply for the BTech course at IIT Indore, candidates must follow the admission process outlined below:

1. Meet Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must fulfill the IIT Indore BTech eligibility criteria.
2. JEE Advanced: Candidates must appear for the JEE Advanced exam and qualify to be considered for admission.
3. JoSAA Counselling: After declaring JEE Advanced results, selected candidates must participate in the JoSAA counseling process.
4. Document Submission and Fee Payment: Upon completion of the counseling process, the candidates must submit the required documents and pay the IIT Indore B.Tech fees.

1. To be eligible for BTech admission, Applicants should have successfully finished their higher secondary education (10+2) in the science stream, obtaining a minimum of 75% marks per the latest academic requirements.
2. For individuals in the SC/ST category, a minimum score of 65% in their 10+2 education is mandatory to meet the eligibility criteria for BTech admission. This criterion has been set following the guidelines established by the respective academic authorities.
3. Alternatively, candidates in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination can apply for BTech admission.
4. All candidates must possess a valid JEE Advanced Score to be considered for BTech admission.

1. The final selection for IIT Indore is determined through the JoSAA Counselling, which considers the rank achieved in the JEE Advanced examination.
2. To participate in the JoSAA Counselling process, candidates must first complete the registration.
3. During the JoSAA Counselling, seats are allotted to registered candidates across seven rounds.
4. The allocation of seats is based on the preferences for the chosen course and college, as specified during the registration process.

The selection for BTech programs at IIT Indore relies on the JEE cutoff ranks determined by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The JEE Advanced test rank, seat availability, preferences submitted during choice filling, reservation criteria, and other relevant variables influence these cutoff ranks.

IIT Indore offers a 5-Year B.Tech + M.Tech integrated course in 4 specializations. Candidates who are pursuing BTech from IIT Indore become eligible for this 5-Year integrated course after the completion of their 6th semester.

1. IIT Indore presents various postgraduate programs, including MTech in 15 different specializations.
2. To participate in the seat allocation process at IIT Indore, candidates must complete their registration on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
3. Only candidates registered on COAP are eligible to participate in the admission process for MTech courses at the postgraduate level.
4. Besides MTech, IIT Indore offers other postgraduate courses such as MSc and MS.
5. The duration of these postgraduate courses at IIT Indore spans two years.

1. Indian Applicants:
1. Candidates must have at least 60% aggregate in B.E. or B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline.
2. Applicants need to apply for the GATE exam with the above qualification.
3. Students in their 3rd year of study can also take the GATE exam.
2. Foreign Applicants:
1. Foreign applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering or its equivalent.
2. They are required to demonstrate their English proficiency with TOEFL or IELTS scores.
3. In some cases, certain departments may conduct interviews before making the final selection.
3. GATE Score Exemption: The following students are exempted from submitting GATE scores:
1. Graduates with a 6.5 CGPA from any IIT in B.Tech with a CGPA of 8 in the last 2 semesters.
2. Sponsored or QIP candidates with strong academic backgrounds are also exempted from submitting GATE scores.

Applicants who meet the above-mentioned criteria are eligible to apply for the GATE exam. Admission to the M.Tech. program is based on GATE scores. Once they qualify for GATE, applicants must apply for counseling through COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) to secure their admission.

IIT Indore provides an attractive opportunity for candidates through its Integrated MTech + PhD—dual Degree program, available in 15 different specializations. Students currently enrolled in the MTech program at IIT Indore can switch to the Integrated Dual Degree program after completing their 3rd semester, given that they meet the specified eligibility criteria.

1. To be eligible for admission, Candidates must have attained a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline from an accredited university to qualify for the application process. This criterion has been designed to ensure that applicants possess a solid academic foundation in their chosen field of study.
2. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid GATE score to be considered for admission.

The candidates will receive final admission based on their GATE score.

IIT Indore offers a comprehensive two-year MSc program with five different specializations.

1. The selection process involves qualifying for the JAM examination and registering for JAM counseling on the official website.
2. During counseling, candidates must prioritize IIT Indore as their first preference.
3. Upon selection, candidates must submit all the required documents and pay the admission fees at IIT Indore.

Students enrolled in the 2-year MSc course at IIT Indore can switch to the Integrated MSc+PhD course after the 3rd semester, provided they meet the institute's specified eligibility criteria.

1. Eligible candidates applying for the MSc program at IIT Indore must have completed their undergraduate level (BTech./BE) with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
2. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid IIT-JAM score to be considered for admission.

The candidates' selection process is carried out through JAM counseling, where seat allocation is determined based on various factors such as their IIT JAM Rank, preferences indicated during registration, seat availability, categories, and other relevant considerations.

In collaboration with IIM Indore, IIT Indore has recently launched a specialized MSc program in Data Science and Management. This program is designed for two years and is offered through an online mode. It has a total seat intake of 200 students.

To be eligible for the 2-year Online MSc Data Science program, prospective candidates must meet the following criteria and requirements:

1. Possess a bachelor/master's degree (BTech/BS/BPharm/BArch/BDes/BSc/MSc/MCA/MBA) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
2. Hold an equivalent degree with at least two courses in Mathematics and one in Computer Programming at the qualifying degree level.
3. Provide a valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/JAM score.

Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their submitted applications. Subsequently, the institute invites the shortlisted candidates for an interview. The final admission decision is based on the candidates' performance in the interview process.

IIT Indore provides an integrated MSc + PhD. Dual Degree Program in 5 specializations, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Astronomy. During the 3rd semester of the MSc program, candidates can switch to the MSc + PhD. Integrated Dual Degree Program, provided they meet the specific eligibility criteria set for the program which is given below.

To qualify for consideration, applicants should have completed a Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline, securing a minimum of 60% marks, from an officially recognized university or institute to be eligible for the program. This requirement has been implemented to ensure that candidates possess the necessary academic qualifications to pursue their desired course of study.
To be eligible for the MSc + PhD program after the third semester, students must maintain a specific CGPA set by the institute.

The selection of candidates is done through the IIT JAM counseling process, which involves four rounds of admission. Seat allocation is determined based on various factors, including the scores obtained in the JAM entrance test, preferences indicated during choice filling, seat availability, categories, and other relevant considerations.

IIT Indore offers an MS (Research) Program in 6 different specializations. The program's maximum duration is three years, providing students with flexibility and emphasizing research-focused learning. Students must complete the necessary coursework and defend a high-quality MS thesis to graduate from the program based on their research work.

1. Register on the COAP portal.
2. After completing the registration at COAP, applicants can access information about the offers (if any) from participating institutes during the designated time windows on the COAP portal.
3. The shortlisting of applicants will be based on their GATE score, with IIT graduates having a CPI of 8.0 or higher being exempted from GATE qualification and shortlisted based on their CPI.
4. Among the shortlisted applicants, those selected through COAP will receive offers for the respective PG program and category (as mentioned during application) in strict order of merit.

IIT Indore offers admission to the MS Research Program under various categories:

1. TA (Teaching Assistantship) Category: Students under this category are considered Full-Time students.
2. SW (Sponsored) Category: Candidates sponsored by reputed Industries or R&D Organizations with a minimum work experience of two years are eligible for admission.
3. DF (Defence Forces) Category: Applicants from the Defence Forces are eligible for admission to the MS Research program at IIT Indore.
4. IS (Internal Staff) Category: Regular staff members of IIT Indore on a Part-Time basis are eligible under this category.

1. To be eligible for the program, candidates must have a minimum CPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks or First Class in B.E/BTech/MSc or equivalent in any discipline. They should also possess a valid GATE score or be qualified in NET(JRF)/INSPIRE.
2. Candidates with a BTech degree in the relevant discipline from an IIT, having a minimum CPI of 8.0 or above, are exempted from the mandatory GATE score requirement.
3. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks).
4. Regular category candidates must have a valid GATE score or NET-JRF in the relevant discipline.
5. Industry-sponsored candidates do not require a valid GATE score for eligibility.

Candidates applying for the MS (Research) program at IIT Indore will receive their final admission offers based on their GATE Scores. The GATE Score is a crucial factor in the selection process, and it serves as a unique parameter for evaluating each candidate's eligibility for the program.

1. A printed copy of the online filled application form, with a recent passport-sized photo attached and duly signed.
2. Degree certificate, final mark sheet, or master grade sheet as proof of Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) fulfillment.
3. Valid GATE scorecard showcasing the candidate's performance in the examination.
4. A document providing proof of the candidate's date of birth.
5. Certificate supporting reservation category (if applicable), demonstrating eligibility for appropriate reservations.
6. Certificate or document supporting the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category if the candidate falls under this category.

IIT Indore offers PhD programs in all academic departments, providing a wide range of 16 different specializations. The maximum duration of the PhD course is three years. The institute provides PhD admissions in the following categories: 

1. Fellowship Awardee (FA): Awardee from funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, NBHM, DST, or a JRF/SRF project staff working in a funded project at IIT Indore.
2. Teaching Assistantship (TA): Scholarship provided under MHRD guidelines.
3. Sponsored without Institute Scholarship (SW): Sponsored candidate from an R&D organization or Industry without an institute scholarship.
4. Institute Staff (IS): Staff member of IIT Indore.
5. Defense (DF): Personnel serving in the Armed forces without an institute scholarship.
6. College Teacher (CT): Permanent Teacher of the Sponsoring College/University without a scholarship.

1. Online Application: Candidates must apply through the official college website and will receive a unique application number upon submission.
2. Written Exam and Interview: Shortlisted candidates must participate in a written exam, followed by an interview.
3. Letter of Recommendation (LOR) and Statement of Purpose (SOP): Candidates must bring their LOR and SOP while attending the interview.
4. Document Submission and Application Fees: After the interview, candidates must submit the necessary documents and pay the required application fees per IIT Indore's guidelines.

The eligibility criteria for PhD admission at IIT Indore are

1. First division Master's degree in the relevant department + Valid GATE score. of 60%
2. First division in a 4-year bachelor's or 5-year integrated degree in the relevant department + Valid GATE Score.
3. First division in Master's degree in the relevant department + Valid GATE score, UGC/ CSIR-JRF qualification, or Equivalent Fellowship.
4. First division Master's degree in the relevant department + UGC-NET (Lecturership) and valid GATE qualification.
