Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Agartala Located in Agartala, Tripura, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Agartala is a premier technical institute in India. Established in 2018 to provide high-quality education in information technology. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure, experienced faculty, and strong industry collaborations, IIIT Agartala provides a conducive learning environment for students to excel in their chosen fields.
To tackle the obstacles encountered by the Indian IT industry and foster the expansion of the domestic IT market, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Government of India plans to establish twenty Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) through a Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) framework. These institutes, deemed as institutions of national importance under an act of parliament, are presently functioning from a temporary campus at NIT Agartala, where all necessary amenities are made available to the students of IIIT Agartala.

IIIT Agartala Affiliations and Accreditations
IIIT Agartala is affiliated with the Ministry of Education, Government of The Government of India, and has designated India as an Institute of National Importance. The institute's accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is also in place, ensuring that it meets the country's highest standards of technical education.
The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) also acknowledges and recognizes this institute. It also holds recognition in the case of this institute. Approves the institute.
IIIT Agartala Faculties

- Hostel: Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided for accommodation. The hostels have internet connections 24/7, and mess facilities are also provided for breakfast, tea, lunch, and dinner.

- Medical Facility: Until the construction of IIIT Agartala's 52 acres permanent campus is completed, the institute will be situated in the NIT Agartala campus, where they can use and enjoy its infrastructural facilities.
- Club, Committees, and Societies: IIIT Agartala, a young technology and engineering institute, still needs to set up various clubs, committees, or societies. However, various committees have been set up to look after the institute's needs, from financial matters to students' discipline or academic studies, along with the institute's overall performance and requirements. The institute hopes that in the coming years, it will set up various clubs and committees for the betterment of students and staff. From cultural clubs to robotics clubs, web developing clubs, photography clubs, and much more will be made available to students where they can learn and work in teams in various fields of talent.
