A1. For B.Tech: Admission through JEE-Main or DASA (SAT for non-resident Indians). For postgraduate courses: Admission is based on GATE scores through CCMT for MTech and Joint Admission Test for MSc. for MSc.

A2. Yes, the institute provides hostel accommodations. Separate facilities for boys and girls, comprising four and one girls' hostel.

A3. Pursuing a BTech in ECE at NIT Srinagar is considered worthwhile. Positive aspects include academic structure, infrastructure, placements, and faculty.

A4. CSE and IT branches are considered the best. More than 90% of students from these branches get placed in top companies.

A5. Original mark sheets, migration certificate, conduct certificate, transfer certificate. Course completion certificate if the result is awaited. Category certificate, passport-size photographs, and a valid scorecard.

A6. No, direct admission is not offered. Admissions are strictly through national-level entrance tests; written tests and interviews may be conducted for further selection.

A7. Top recruiters include Oil India Limited, Lowes India, Honda, Mahindra, HP, HCL, Reliance, DRDO, IRCON, Punj Lloyd, TCS, and L&T - ECC.

A8. The institute provides central government scholarship schemes for merit and reserved category students. The scholarship amount is INR 10,000 for UG students and INR 20,000 for PG students.

A9. The JEE Main cutoff for B.Tech at NIT Srinagar ranges from 4780 to 35576, depending on the specialisation.

A10. B.Tech admissions are through JoSAA counselling. M.Tech seats are allocated based on CCMT counselling.
