NIT Nagaland : Scholarships

The National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) offers several scholarships to its students. These scholarships are based on merit, financial need, and other criteria.

1. Merit-based scholarships
1. The Institute Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to the top 10% of students each semester based on their academic performance.
2. The Institute Sports Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who excel in sports.
3. The Institute Cultural Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who excel in cultural activities.   
4. Financial need-based scholarships
5. The Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) is awarded to SC and ST students pursuing higher education.
6. The National Scholarship for Students from Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Backgrounds: This scholarship is awarded to students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing higher education.
7. The National Merit Scholarship is awarded to students who excel in the National Entrance Test (NET).   
2. Other scholarships
1. The Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students: This scholarship is awarded to minority students pursuing higher education.
2. The Maulana Azad National Fellowship: This fellowship is awarded to Muslim students who are pursuing research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
3. The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST students is awarded to SC/ST students pursuing higher education.   

In addition to these scholarships, NIT Nagaland offers its students grants and financial assistance. These grants and financial assistance are available to students facing financial hardship.
