1. Appear for JEE Main: The JEE Main is a nationwide entrance examination to gain admission to undergraduate engineering programs in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NIT Jalandhar offers a 4 year long BTech program under 11 specialisations.
2. Register for JoSAA Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts centralised online counselling for admission to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). To register for JoSAA counselling, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score.
3. Fill in the JoSAA Choice Filling Form: During JoSAA counselling, candidates must fill in a choice filling form indicating their preferred NITs and B.Tech. Programs.
4. Seat Allotment: JoSAA will allot seats to candidates based on their JEE Main score, rank, and choices.
5. Accept Seat and Pay Fee: Once a candidate is allotted a seat, they must accept it and pay the required fees to NIT Jalandhar.

1. Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2. Minimum Marks Required: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60%. Aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination or a minimum CGPA of 6.50.
3. Entrance Examination: Candidates must have qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and have a valid JEE Main score.
4. Relaxation: Candidates who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), or Other Backward Classes (OBCs) categories are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement.

2. Register for CCMT Counselling: CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech is a centralised counselling process for admission to MTech programs at NITs and other participating institutes. To register for CCMT counselling, visit the CCMT website and create an account.
3. Fill out the CCMT Application Form: The CCMT application form will require details, academic qualifications, GATE score, and preferred programs and institutes.
4. Lock Your Choices: Once you have completed the CCMT application form, you must lock your choices. In order of preference, you must finalise the programs and institutes you are interested in.
5. Participate in CCMT Counselling: CCMT will conduct multiple rounds of counselling. In each round, candidates will be allotted seats based on their GATE score, preferred choices, and the availability of seats.
6. Accept your Seat and Pay the Admission Fee: If you are allotted a seat in the CCMT counselling, you must accept and pay it within the stipulated time.

1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/BSc (Engineering) from a recognised university is required. It would be best if you also held a valid GATE score.
2. Alternatively, suppose you possess a Master's degree in a pertinent science field with a first-class or a minimum of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5) or its equivalent and hold a valid GATE score. In that case, you meet the eligibility criteria for admission.
3. UGC/CSIR fellowship holders are also eligible to apply.

Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria:

1. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum eligibility mark is 55% (CGPA 6.0).
2. Applicants with a valid GATE score are eligible for admission with a minimum qualifying mark of 50% (equivalent to CGPA 5.5). This criterion ensures that candidates with a GATE score meeting this threshold are eligible for consideration.

1. Appear for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM): JAM is a national entrance exam for admission to MSc programs in various disciplines at NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).NIT Jalandhar offers a 2 years long MSc. program under 3 specialisations.
2. Register for the CCMN Counselling: Once you have a valid JAM score, you must register for the Centralized Counselling for M.Sc. Programs in NITs (CCMN). The CCMN counselling process is conducted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
3. Choose NIT Calicut as one of your Preferred Institutes: While registering for CCMN counselling, you must choose NIT Jalandhar as one of your preferred institutes. You can also choose other NITs and CFTIs during the registration process.
4. Participate in the CCMN Counselling: The CCMN counselling process is typically conducted annually. During the counselling process, you will be allowed a seat at one of the institutes you have chosen based on your JAM score and other factors.
5. Accept the Seat and Pay the Admission Fees: Once you have been allotted a seat at NIT Jalandhar, you must accept and pay the admission fees by the specified deadline.
6. Submit the Required Documents: After paying the admission fees, you must submit the required documents to NIT Jalandhar. The required documents typically include: 
1. JAM scorecard
2. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
3. Graduation degree certificate and mark sheets
4. Category certificate (if applicable)
5. Passport size photographs
7. Attend the Document Verification and Admission Process: Once you have submitted the required documents, you must attend the document verification and admission process at NIT Jalandhar. 2. Entrance Exam: Applicants must have a valid score in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.

1. Appear for these Entrance Exams: The CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/GMAT exam is conducted annually. It is a three-hour online exam that tests candidates on their quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning skills. NIT Jalandhar offers a 2 years long MBA program in Humanities and Management.
2. Upload the Necessary Documents: Candidates must upload the required documents. Scanned copies of the following documents as part of their online application form:

2. Transcripts and diplomas for 10th grade, 12th grade, and undergraduate studies.

3. Shortlisting of Candidates: Based on their CAT scores, the NIT Jalandhar MBA admission committee will shortlist candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates who are shortlisted will receive notifications via email.
4. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): The GD round tests a candidate's communication and teamwork skills. The Personal Interview (PI) round is a one-on-one interview with a panel of faculty members. The PI round is designed to assess a candidate's overall personality, aptitude for management, and motivation for pursuing an MBA degree.
