IIT Roorkee [IITR] : Scholarships

IIT Roorkee offers a variety of scholarships to its students based on merit, financial need, and other criteria. Some of the most well-known scholarships include:

1. James Thomason Scholarship: is awarded to the top 250 students in the JEE (Advanced) exam each year. It covers the full tuition fee and provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000.
2. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students from economically weaker sections who have performed well in the JEE (Advanced) exam. It covers the full tuition fee and provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000.
3. Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students: This scholarship is awarded to SC/ST students who have secured admission to IIT Roorkee. It covers the full tuition fee and provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 4,875.
4. Post-Matric Scholarship for PwD Students: This scholarship is awarded to PwD students who have secured admission to IIT Roorkee. It covers the full tuition fee and provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 4,875.
5. AICTE Pragati Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to female students from economically weaker sections who have pursued a bachelor's degree in engineering from IIT Roorkee. It provides a monthly stipend of Rs. 2,000 for two years.
