IIT Guwahati Admissions
IIT Guwahati offers various courses: BTech, BDes, MS, MSc, MTech, MDes, MBA, Dual degrees, and PhD Admissions to the BTech programs are based on the candidates' performance in the JEE Advanced examination. For the BDes program, the selection is based on the candidates' performance in UCEED, and for the MTech program, admissions are granted based on GATE scores. MSc admissions are conducted through JAM. MBA Admissions are based on CAT Scores, and PhD Admissions involve GATE, a written examination and an interview conducted by the IIT Guwahati panel of experts.
IIT Guwahati BTech Admission Process
- Application: Candidates must apply online through the JoSAA portal.
- Qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced: Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for both the JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations. to be eligible for admission to IIT Guwahati.
- JEE Advanced: The JEE Advanced score is the most critical factor for Admission to BTech at IIT Guwahati. Candidates with a higher JEE Advanced score will have a better chance of getting a seat in their desired course.
- JoSAA Counselling: Candidates will be shortlisted for JoSAA counselling after applying. This is a centralised counselling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
