IIT Goa [IITG] : Scholarships

1. Merit Cum Means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 25% of students admitted to the B.Tech program. It is based on the family income and the scores of candidates in the entrance and the 12th standard. Selected students are exempted from paying the total tuition fee and are given a pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month.
2. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top-Class Education for SC Students: The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GOI, offers this scholarship to Engineering Technology and Management students. The total annual family income should be at most INR 4.5 lakhs.
3. National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students: This scholarship is offered to Engineering Technology and Management students by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, GOI. The total annual family income should be at most INR 4.5 lakhs.
4. Institute Remission of Fees: IIT Goa offers remission of fees to students from economically backward families. The remission is given as a waiver of a percentage of the tuition fee. The percentage of remission depends on the family income of the student.
5. Free Messing Facilities (SC/ST): IIT Goa provides accessible messing facilities to SC/ST students.

In addition to these scholarships, IIT Goa also offers some other scholarships to its students, such as the PMRF scholarship, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan scholarship, and the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana scholarship.
