IIIT Agartala [IIITA] : Admissions

IIIT Agartala offers admission to undergraduate programs in information technology. The admissions are based on the performance of candidates in national-level entrance examinations such as JEE Main for undergraduate programs. The institute follows a merit-based selection process, considering the candidates' ranks in the entrance examinations and their performance in the subsequent counseling rounds.

Admissions to B. Tech. in IIIT Agartala are made through JEE MAIN entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling.
The steps involved in BTech admissions are given below.

1. Fill out and submit the admission form provided by the institute.
2. Appear and qualify for JEE MAIN entrance exam.
3. Meet the required cutoff set by the institute or the entrance exam portal.
4. Participate in JoSAA counselling for final seat allotment.
5. Submit all the required documents for verification.
6. Selected candidates must pay fees.
   
   

The seat allocation based on category is given below:

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program at IIIT Agartala, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have completed a 10+2 level examination or any equivalent exam from a recognized board.
2. Minimum Percentile Requirement:
1. The student must have obtained a minimum 75% percentile in the qualifying exam.
2. Compulsory subjects for consideration are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
3. Additionally, the candidate must have studied the following subjects: Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or any Tech vocational subjects.
3. State Board Rank: Students who rank in the top 20 of their respective state board qualifying exams can apply for admission to IIIT Agartala.
