The Oxford School Of Architecture BArch Admission Process
The Oxford School of Architecture (TOSA) admission process is as follows:
- CET Admission: Admission to the institute is based on the current year's Common Entrance Test (CET) merit list, as officially notified and published by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Candidates who wish to secure admission under this category must obtain it through the CET Cell of KEA.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have passed an examination at the end of the 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects or passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. They must also have cleared the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) with the minimum marks prescribed by the Council of Architecture (COA).
- Application: The application form can be downloaded from the TOSA website. The application fee is INR 1000.
- Document Submission: Along with the application form, the following documents must be submitted:
- A copy of the mark sheets for 10th, 12th and Diploma (if applicable)
- A copy of the NATA scorecard
- Scorecard of CET
- A passport-size photograph
- A self-addressed envelope with postage stamps
- Personal Interview: Selected candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview will assess the candidate's aptitude for architecture, creativity, and communication skills.
- Selection: The final selection of candidates will be based on their academic performance, NATA score, personal interview and portfolio.
The Oxford School of Architecture BArch Eligibility Criteria
- Compulsory Qualification in NATA Exam: Students must qualify for the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) exam conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, in 2022. They must achieve the minimum NATA score prescribed by the COA.
- Pass in PUC Examination: Candidates must have successfully passed the PUC examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- At Least 50% Marks at 10+2 Level: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate at the 10+2 level examination is mandatory.
- 10+3 Diploma Examination: Alternatively, candidates can apply with a 10+3 diploma examination, provided they have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject and have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
- Special Consideration for Karnataka SC/ST/OBC Candidates: The minimum marks required for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories in Karnataka are 45%. Additionally, they must secure a qualified rank in the national-level NATA examination.
