NIT Sikkim Scholarships

National Institute of Technology Sikkim (NIT Sikkim) offers a variety of scholarships to its students. Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need, and other criteria. The following is a list of some of the scholarships available at NIT Sikkim:

  1. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE) Scholarship: This scholarship is for students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories. The scholarship amount is Rs. 5,000 per month.
  2. Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MTA) Scholarship: This scholarship is for students in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. The scholarship amount is Rs. 4,000 per month.
  3. National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Scholarship: This scholarship is for students who have scored at least 75% in the 10th and 12th examinations. The scholarship amount is Rs. 2,000 per month.
  4. Bihar Scholarship: This scholarship is for students hailing from Bihar. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1,500 per month.
  5. Odisha Scholarship: This scholarship is for students hailing from Odisha. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1,250 per month.
  6. Rajasthan Scholarship: This scholarship is for students hailing from Rajasthan. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1,000 per month.
  7. Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Scholarship: This scholarship is for meritorious students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories. The scholarship amount is Rs. 20,000 per year.
  8. Jharkhand Scholarship: This scholarship is for students hailing from Jharkhand. The scholarship amount is Rs. 750 per month.
  9. ONGC Scholarship: This scholarship is for students pursuing a full-time engineering degree. The scholarship amount is Rs. 15,000 per year.
  10. Departmental Scholarship: This scholarship is for students who have secured a 75% or above grade in the previous semester. The scholarship amount is Rs. 500 per month.
  11. SAIL Scholarship: This scholarship is for students in reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) whose family income is less than Rs. 1,50,000 per annum. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1,000 per month.
  12. In addition to these scholarships, NIT Sikkim offers its students many other financial assistance schemes. These schemes include fee waivers, hostel accommodation, and book loans.
