3. Select Your Preferred Colleges and Courses: In the JoSAA application form, you must select your preferred colleges and courses. You can select up to 100 colleges and courses in the order of your preference.
4. Lock Your Choices: Once you have selected your preferred colleges and courses, you must lock your choices. Once you have locked your choices, you cannot change your application.
5. Participate in JoSAA Counselling: JoSAA counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. In each round, you will be allotted a seat based on your JEE Main rank, your preferences, and the availability of seats.
6. Accept Your Seat: If you are allotted a seat in a round of JoSAA counselling, you must accept the seat within the stipulated period. It would be best if you accepted the seat to be considered for subsequent rounds of counselling.
7. Report to the Allotted College: Once you have accepted your seat, you must report to the allotted College on the specified date. You must carry all the required documents, such as your JEE Main admit Card, scorecard, and class 12th mark sheet.

Educational Qualification:

1. Candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks.
2. Applicants who have passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination under the 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply.
3. For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories, the minimum required marks in the 10+2 examination are 65%.

National Level Entrance Examination:

1. Candidates must have appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and secured a valid rank in the percentile prescribed by NIT Jamshedpur for the respective course.

3. Payment of Admission Fee: Candidates must pay the admission fee within the stipulated period. The fee can be paid online through NIT Jamshedpur's official website.
4. Physical Reporting: Candidates are required to report to NIT Jamshedpur at the designated venue on the scheduled date and time. The venue for physical reporting will be communicated to the candidates through email/SMS.

1. The selection of candidates for admission to the PhD program will be made based on a written test and an interview.
2. The respective departments will conduct the written test.
3. The interview will be conducted by a Departmental Research Committee (DRC) of faculty members and experts from the relevant field.
4. The DRC will assess the candidate's research aptitude, academic background, and motivation for pursuing doctoral studies.
