NIT Goa : Scholarships

NIT Goa offers several scholarships to its students under various government schemes and MHRD Scholarship Schemes. These scholarships aim to support needy and deserving students from all backgrounds, including minority communities.

Some of the scholarships available at NIT Goa include:

1. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is available to students from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) For individuals whose parents/guardians' combined income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand) per annum.
2. National Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is available to deserving students from all backgrounds whose parents/guardians' income from all sources is at most Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh) per annum.
3. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is available to deserving students from all backgrounds whose parents/guardians' income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh) per annum.
4. Minority Community Scholarship: This scholarship is available to students from minority communities whose parents/guardians' income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh) per annum.
5. Shraman Foundation Scholarships: These scholarships are available to financially underprivileged students in their 1st and 2nd year of BTech. Studies.

In addition to these scholarships, NIT Goa also offers many other scholarships and financial assistance schemes to its students, such as:

1. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme: This scheme provides a full or partial tuition fee waiver to students from economically weaker sections of society.
2. Student Loan Assistance Scheme: This scheme provides financial assistance to students through loans to help them meet their educational expenses.
3. Research Fellowships: NIT Goa offers several research fellowships to its students pursuing research degrees in various fields.
