- NIT Goa offers Admissions For BTech, MTech, and PhD. Programs.
- BTech Admissions Are based on the JEE Main scores and Followed by the JoSSA Counselling process.

NIT Goa BTech Admission Process
- Appear for JEE Main: The JEE Main is a nationwide entrance examination to gain Admission to undergraduate engineering programs in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NIT Goa offers 5 specialisations under the BTech program in 4 years.
- Register for JoSAA Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts centralised online counselling for Admission to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). To register for JoSAA counselling, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score.
- Fill in the JoSAA Choice Filling Form: During JoSAA counselling, candidates must fill in a choice filling form indicating their preferred NITs and BTechs. Programs.
- Seat Allotment: JoSAA will allot seats to candidates based on their JEE Main score, rank, and choices.
- Accept Seat and Pay Fee: Once a candidate is allotted a seat, they must accept it and pay the required fees to NIT Goa.
- Report to NIT Goa: If you have been allocated a seat at NIT Goa, you must report to the college within the specified date and time. You must carry all the required documents, including your JEE Main admit card, rank card, and provisional admission letter.
NIT Goa BTech Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum aggregate score of 75% is mandatory for general candidates.
- Compulsory subjects include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates should have a minimum aggregate score of 65%.BC-NCL candidates).
- Candidates must have appeared for the JEE Main exam and secured a valid rank.

NIT Goa BTech Admission Process Through DASA
- The institution offers Admissions for international students. For the BTech Program, the Admissions are based on JEE Main scores and Through the DASA Scheme.
- Apply to DASA: Eligible candidates must apply to the DASA scheme through the DASA website. Candidates must submit their JEE(Main) rank, academic transcripts, and other relevant documents.
- JEE (Main) Rank: Admission to NIT Goa through DASA is based on the candidate's JEE (Main) rank. The candidate must have a valid JEE (Main) rank to be eligible for Admission through DASA.
- DASA Seat Allotment: DASA will announce the seat allotment results. Allotted candidates must accept the seat and pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee.
- Online Reporting and Document Verification: Allotted candidates must report online to NIT Goa and submit their documents for verification.
- Online Admission: Candidates with verified documents will be eligible for online Admission to NIT Goa.
- Physical Reporting: Allotted candidates must report to NIT Goa in person on the specified date.
NIT Goa BTech Eligibility Criteria Through DASA
- Must be a foreign national / PIO / NRI
- Applicants must attain a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a 6.50 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
- Must have appeared for the JEE(Main) and secured a valid rank

NIT Goa MTech Admission Process
- Appear for GATE and Score a Valid GATE Score: The GATE score is required for all MTech applicants at NIT Goa. The minimum GATE score required varies depending on the program and category. The institute offers 3 specialisations under the MTech course. The course lasts two years.
- Register for CCMT Counselling: CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech is a centralised counselling process for Admission to MTech programs at NITs and other participating institutes. To register for CCMT counselling, visit the CCMT website and create an account.
- Fill out the CCMT Application Form: The CCMT application form will require details, academic qualifications, GATE score, and preferred programs and institutes.
- Lock your Choices: Once you have completed the CCMT application form, you must lock your choices. In order of preference, you must finalise the programs and institutes you are interested in.
- Participate in CCMT Counselling: CCMT will conduct multiple rounds of counselling. In each round, candidates will be allotted seats based on their GATE score, preferred choices, and the availability of seats.
- Accept your Seat and Pay the Admission fee: If you are allotted a seat in the CCMT counselling, you must accept and pay it within the stipulated time.
NIT Goa MTech Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university, achieving a minimum cumulative score of 60%.
- The Bachelor's degree must be in the same discipline as the MTech program that the applicant is applying for.
- Individuals who have obtained their Bachelor's degree from a foreign university must ensure that it is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an Indian university.
NIT Goa MTech Selection Criteria
- Candidates' eligibility for the program is determined by their ranking in the GATE entrance examination.
- Seat allocation occurs after the conclusion of the CCMT counselling process.
NIT Goa PhD Admission Process
- Apply Online:
- Visit the official website of NIT Goa and register yourself.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Complete the online application form and upload the necessary documents.
- Upload Required Documents: Candidates must upload the required documents once they have paid the application fee. The required documents include:
- A scanned copy of the mark sheet from the Master's degree examination.Scanned copy of the GATE/NET or UGC-NET/CSIR for JRF scorecard.
- Scanned copy of the provisional/final certificate of the Master's degree.
- A scanned copy of the research proposal.
- A scanned copy of the passport-size photograph.
- Entrance Exam: Candidates must have valid scores in these GATE/NET or UGC-NET/CSIR for JRF entrance exams.
- Appear for the Written Test and Interview: Once you have submitted your application form and uploaded the required documents, you will be shortlisted for the written test and interview. The respective departments/centres at NIT Goa will conduct the written test and interview.
NIT Goa PhD Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualifications: Master's degree in Sciences / M.Tech. in the relevant area with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale grading system or 60% marks in both Bachelor's and Master's levels from a recognised Institute or University. SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale grading system or 55% marks.
- Research Aptitude: Candidates should have a robust research aptitude and be motivated to pursue independent research. This can be demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, or research experience in a relevant field.
- GATE Score: A valid GATE score in the relevant discipline is required. However, exceptional candidates (with CGPA >= 9.0) with B.Tech./BE from a reputed institute may be eligible to apply without a GATE score.

- Candidate selection will be based on their performance in both the written test and the interview.
