IIT Jammu [IITJ] : Hostel

The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) provides hostel accommodation to all its students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Each hostel has a capacity of around 200 students.

The hostel rooms are twin-sharing, each with basic furniture (table, chair, bed (without mattress), book rack and almirah). The rooms also have an internet connection for each student.

The hostels have many standard facilities, including:

1. Dining hall: The dining hall offers good quality food, regularly monitored by the wardens for hygiene and nutritional values.
2. Indoor games: The hostels have facilities for indoor games such as table tennis, carrom, chess, and pool.
3. Outdoor games: The hostels have a cricket, football, and basketball playground.
4. Gym: The hostels have a well-equipped gym with state-of-the-art equipment.
5. The hostels have a reading room with books and magazines.
6. Standard room: The hostels have a common room where students can relax and socialize.

The hostels also have security measures such as 24x7 CCTV surveillance and security guards.

The facilities allocated for boys are the same as for girls.
