IIT BHU Varanasi : Scholarships

1. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to 25% of undergraduate students based on merit and financial need. The scholarship amount varies but can cover up to 100% of the tuition fees.
2. Endowment Scholarships: IIT Varanasi offers several endowment scholarships funded by donations from alumni and other organizations. These scholarships are awarded to students based on merit, financial need, or a combination.
3. Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Scholarships: IIT Varanasi offers scholarships to students from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. These scholarships cover tuition fees, mess charges, and pocket money.
4. Junior/Senior Research Fellowships: IIT Varanasi offers Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to PhD programmes. These fellowships cover tuition fees, stipends, and medical insurance.
5. International Scholarships: IIT Varanasi also offers several international scholarships, such as the Rhodes Scholarship, the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship, and the USIEF Fellowship. These scholarships are awarded to students who are pursuing higher studies abroad.
