IIT Bhilai [IITB] : Scholarships

IIT Bhilai offers a variety of scholarships to support and recognize students with outstanding academic performance, as well as those from financially weaker sections of society. These scholarships are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of the scholarships offered by IIT Bhilai include:

1. The Merit Cum Means Scholarships: It is a financial aid program available to undergraduate students at IIT Bhilai who belong to the UR and OBC categories and have an annual family income of less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs.
2. ST/SC Scholarship: This scholarship is available to SC/ST category students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs and a minimum CGPA score of 7.0.
3. Institute Free Studentship Scholarship: This scholarship is available to UR students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 5 lakhs and OBC students with an annual family income of less than Rs. 6 lakhs. Other economically backward category students with an annual family income between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 5 lakhs can also avail of this scholarship, provided they have a minimum CGPA score of 6.0.
4. Fellowships for Masters and PhD Students: IIT Bhilai offers fellowships to students pursuing Masters and PhD degrees. Masters students can receive a fellowship for a maximum of 21 months, provided they have achieved a particular score on their GATE exam. PhD students can receive a fellowship for up to 3 years, provided they remain academically active.
