IIIT Kota [IIITK] : Admissions

IIIT Kota admission is completely entrance-based for its BTech, MTech, and PhD programs. For candidates seeking admission to the flagship BTech course, the admissions are allotted based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. Additionally, Central Seat Allocation Board conducts CSAB Special Rounds of Counselling for pending seats after JoSAA Counselling. For MTech, candidates must have a valid score in the GATE exam and go through CCMT Counselling for final selection. IIIT Kota also offers admission to the PhD program based on a written test and personal interview conducted by the institute.

 The admission process for BTech programs at IIITK involves the following steps:

1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the required entrance exam, such as JEE Main, SAT, or any other relevant entrance exam specified by IIIT Kota.
2. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates are called for counseling sessions based on their entrance exam performance. During counseling, candidates can select their preferred courses and specializations based on availability and merit.

IIIT Kota provides a two-year MTech program, divided into four semesters, offering two specializations. Admission to this course is determined by the GATE score, followed by CCMT counseling. Prospective students must qualify for the entrance exam designated for admission to IIIT Kota.

To be eligible for admission to the M.Tech program at IIIT Kota, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• B.E/B.Tech Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. 
• Sponsored candidates should have at least one year of work experience.
• Sponsored candidates are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer/organization.

3.  Candidates will be invited for an interview upon qualifying for the written test. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the institute.

IIIT Kota provides a PhD program in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Prospective candidates can apply for Full-Time/Part-Time/Off-Campus options. Admission to the program involves a selection process that includes a written test and a personal interview conducted by the institute.

To be eligible for admission to the PhD program at IIIT Kota, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. The candidate must have a ME/MTech Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute to be eligible. The marks must be at least 60% or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale.
2. Sponsored candidates should have at least one year of work experience.
