BMS College of Law was founded in 1963 by Sri B. S. Narayan, a donor trustee of BMSET, under the auspices of B.M. Sreenivasaiah Educational Trust. It is located in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. The college provides programs in BA LLB, BCom LLB (5-year course), and LLB(3-year course). Admissions to the college are based on a combination of merit and performance in the entrance test, known as BMSCLAT, followed by personal interviews.

Library: The college boasts a well-stocked library, home to an extensive collection of approximately 23036 books, including various resources such as journals, legal and general magazines, commission reports, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and general books. To enhance accessibility, the library is automated and utilises integrated library automation software known as LIBSOFT. This software offers a user-friendly Web OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) interface, making it easier for students to navigate and locate the materials they need for their academic pursuits.

Sports: The college provides diverse sports facilities catering to both indoor and outdoor games. Enthusiastic students can participate in various sports, including chess, carom, badminton, volleyball, cricket, and throwball. Additionally, the college organises various sports tournaments, fostering a spirit of competition and sportsmanship among its students.

IT Infrastructure: The college's computer lab is thoughtfully equipped with well-furnished workstations connected to the Internet. This connectivity allows students to access digital libraries and other online study materials, enhancing their learning experience.

The college has also instituted a student-driven Moot Court Society responsible for organising moot court events and selecting candidates for inter-collegiate competitions.
