VNIT Nagpur Admissions

VNIT Nagpur offers various admission programs, including BTech, BTech Architecture (BArch), MSc, MTech, and PhD. For BTech/BArch admissions at VNIT Nagpur, candidates are selected based on their JEE Main scores, followed by participation in the JoSAA counselling process. The JAM (Joint Admission Test for MSc) score determines admission to the MSc program. In contrast, MTech admissions are determined by their GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores. VNIT Nagpur BTech Eligibility Criteria

  4. Apply for MTech at VNIT Nagpur Through CCMT: The Common Counseling for M.Tech. (CCMT) is a centralised admission process for MTech programs in NITs. 
  5. Participate in CCMT Counseling: In the CCMT counselling, you will be ranked based on your GATE score and your preferences for the MTech programs. You will be allotted a seat in the program of your choice, subject to the availability of seats.

VNIT Nagpur MSc Admission Process

  1. Apply for the IIT JAM Exam: The IIT JAM exam is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MSc. programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and statistics. 
  2. Application Completion: You can complete the application form for the IIT JAM exam online through the official exam website.
  3. Download the CCMN Application Form: The Common Counseling for MSc. (CCMN) is a centralised counselling process for admission to MSc. programs in NITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. The application form for the CCMN can be downloaded from the official website of the CCMN.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: The application fee for the CCMN is INR 1000. You have the option to make the payment of the fee online using either a credit card or a debit card.
  5. Submit the CCMN Application Form: The CCMN application form must be submitted online by the deadline.
  6. Wait for the CCMN Seat Allotment: The CCMN seat allotment will be done based on the IIT JAM scores and the choices filled by the applicants. The seat allotment results will be posted on the official website of CCMN.
  7. Report to the Institute: If you are allotted a seat at VNIT Nagpur, you must report to the institute on the specified date. You should carry the original documents with you.

VNIT Nagpur MSc Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in science from a recognised university or college with a minimum of 60% marks (or 55% marks for reserved category candidates).

VNIT Nagpur PhD Admission Process

  1. GATE qualification or valid NET/GPAT Score: The candidate must have qualified for the GATE exam in the relevant discipline or have a valid NET/GPAT score. The GATE score is accepted for all the departments, while the NET/GPAT score is accepted for some departments only.   4. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations for interviews. These interviews will be administered by a panel of professors affiliated with the respective department. The interview will allow the candidate to present their research proposal and answer questions from the panel.
