NITK Surathkal accepts students for undergraduate admission through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme. The DASA scheme is open to foreign nationals, PIOs, OCIs, and Indian nationals who have completed their undergraduate studies outside India.

To apply for undergraduate admission to NITK Surathkal through DASA, candidates must:

1. Be a foreign national, PIO, OCI, or Indian national who has completed their undergraduate studies outside India.
2. Have a valid passport.
3. Have a valid student visa for India.
4. Have completed the 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised school or university.
5. Have scored at least 60% marks in the 12th standard or equivalent.

Candidates must also take the DASA aptitude test. The DASA aptitude test is a computer-based test that measures the candidate's aptitude for engineering and science. The test is held in various locations around the world.

1. Appear for GATE and Score a valid GATE Score: The GATE score is required for all MTech applicants at NITK Surathkal. The minimum GATE score required varies depending on the program and category.
2. Register for CCMT Counselling: CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech is a centralised counselling process for admission to MTech programs at NITs and other participating institutes. To register for CCMT counselling, visit the CCMT website and create an account.
3. Fill out the CCMT Application form: The CCMT application form will require details, academic qualifications, GATE score, and preferred programs and institutes.
4. Lock your choices: Once you have completed the CCMT application form, you must lock your choices. In order of preference, you must finalise the programs and institutes you are interested in.
5. Participate in CCMT Counselling: CCMT will conduct multiple rounds of counselling. In each round, candidates will be allotted seats based on their GATE score, preferred choices, and the availability of seats.
6. Accept Your Seat and Pay the Admission Fee: If you are allotted a seat in the CCMT counselling, you must accept and pay it within the stipulated time.

3. Entrance exam: Candidates must have a valid score in the NIMCET (National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test).

2. Appear for and Score a Valid CAT/MAT/CMAT Score: The CAT/MAT/CMAT exam is conducted annually. It is a three-hour online exam that tests candidates on their quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning skills.
3. Upload the Required Documents: Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents as part of their online application form: 
1. CAT/MAT/CMAT scorecard
2. You should submit scanned copies of your Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation mark sheets and certificates.

4. Category certificate (if applicable) 
4. Shortlisting of Candidates: Based on their CAT scores, the NITK Surathkal MBA admission committee will shortlist candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Shortlisted candidates will receive notification via email.
5. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): The GD round tests a candidate's communication and teamwork skills. The Personal Interview (PI) round is a one-on-one interview with a panel of faculty members. The PI round is designed to assess a candidate's overall personality, aptitude for management, and motivation for pursuing an MBA degree.

1. Academic Qualification: Academic qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA/CPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the overall aggregate.
2. There is a relaxation provision of 5% marks or 0.5 in CPI/CGPA for candidates falling under the Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category.

3. Choose NIT Calicut as one of Your Preferred Institutes: While registering for CCMN counselling, you must choose NITK Surathkal as one of your preferred institutes. You can also choose other NITs and CFTIs during the registration process.
4. Participate in the CCMN Counselling: The CCMN counselling process is typically conducted annually. During the counselling process, you will be allowed a seat at one of the institutes you have chosen based on your JAM score and other factors.
5. Accept the Seat and Pay the Admission Fees: Once you have been allotted a seat at NITK Surathkal, you must accept and pay the admission fees by the specified deadline.
6. Submit the Required Documents: After paying the admission fees, you must submit the required documents to NITK Surathkal. The required documents typically include:
