NIT Raichur - Navodaya Institute of Technology : Admissions

1. NIT Raichur offers Admissions for BTech and MTech Programs.
2. For BTech, Admissions are based on the JEE Main or KCET Entrance exam Scores.
3. For MTech, Admissions are based on the GATE or PGCET scores.

1. Apply for JEE Main or KCET: Candidates can apply for JEE Main online through the National Testing Agency (NTA) website. The application fee for JEE Main is INR 600 for General and OBC-NCL candidates and INR 300 for SC/ST candidates.
2. Appear for JEE Main or KCET and secure a valid rank: JEE Main is an online computer-based exam conducted by the NTA. The exam consists of three papers: Paper 1 (Physics and Chemistry), Paper 2 (Mathematics), and Paper 3 (Drawing Aptitude Test for B.Arch and B.Planning courses). 3. Register for JoSAA counselling: JoSAA is the Joint Seat Allocation Authority responsible for conducting counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. The registration fee for JoSAA counselling is INR 500 for General and OBC-NCL candidates and INR 150 for SC/ST candidates.
4. Fill in your choices of colleges and courses: During JoSAA counselling, candidates must fill in their choices. Candidates can choose up to 100 colleges and courses in any order of preference. The number of choices available to a candidate will depend on their JEE Main rank and category.
5. Attend the JoSAA counselling rounds: JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of counselling. Candidates are invited to attend the counselling rounds based on their JEE Main rank and category. During the counselling rounds, candidates are allotted seats based on their rank, preferences, and availability of seats. Candidates can accept or reject the allotted seat.
6. Accept the seat allotted to you: If you accept the seat allotted to you during JoSAA counselling, you will need to pay the admission fees. The admission fees can be paid online or offline. Once you have paid the admission fees, you will be considered admitted to NIT Raichur.

The selection process for BTech. Programs at NIT Raichur are as follows:

1. Candidates who have appeared for KCET and secured a valid rank will be eligible for admission.
2. The seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their KCET rank and the availability of seats.
3. Reserved category candidates will be given preference over general category candidates.

4. Appear for any one of these entrance exams:

5. Attend Counseling: If your GATE score is within the cutoff range for your chosen M.Tech specialization, you will be invited for counselling. Counselling will be conducted at the NIT Raichur campus.
6. Submit Documents at Counseling: Bring original copies of all your documents to the counselling venue. You will be required to submit these documents for verification.
7. Select Specialization: You will choose M.Tech specializations based on your GATE score and rank during counselling. You must select your preferred specialization and provide your choices in order of preference.
