1. Appear for JEE Main: All candidates aspiring to BTech at NIT Agarpara must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. JEE Main is a nationwide entrance examination administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Institute offers a 4-year BTech program with ten specialisations.
2. Apply for JoSAA Counselling: Once qualified for JEE Main, you need to apply for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. JoSAA is a centralised counselling process for admission to various engineering colleges in India, including NIT Agarpara.

7. Report to the Allotted College: Once you have accepted your seat, you must report to the allotted College on the specified date. You must carry all the required documents, such as your JEE Main admit Card, scorecard, and class 12th mark sheet.

1. 10+2 standard or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application/ Technical Vocational subjects as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks and having minimum 45% marks in the above subjects (40% for Reserve Category) and at least 30% marks in English+valid score/rank in WBJEE/Jee(Main)/CEE-AMPAI- WB current academic year. OR 
2. Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved Category).

1. NIT Arunachal Pradesh BTech Selection Criteria is based on the candidate's performance in the JEE Main exam.
