Koshys Institute of Management Studies Admission Process
Step 1: Check Eligibility
The first step is to check whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the program you are interested in. The eligibility criteria for UG and PG programs are different.
- UG Programs:
- Minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination (12th standard)
- Good academic record
- Passion for business
- PG Programs:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks
- Good academic record
- Work experience (not mandatory)
Step 2: Apply Online
The next step is to apply online. The application form for all programs is available on the KIMS website. The application process is simple. You must provide your details, academic qualifications, and work experience (if applicable). You will also need to submit an essay and a letter of recommendation.
Step 3: Appear for Entrance Exam
If you are applying for a PG program, you will need to appear for one of the following entrance exams:
- Common Admission Test (CAT)
- Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
- Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
- Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT)
- Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)
Step 4: Shortlist
After the entrance exams are conducted, KIMS will shortlist candidates for the next round of the admission process. The shortlist will be based on the candidate's entrance exam score, academic record, and work experience.
Step 5: Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a group discussion and personal interview. The group discussion will assess the candidate's communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. The personal interview will assess the candidate's overall personality, motivation, and fit for the program.
Step 6: Admission
Finally, KIMS will select the final candidates for admission based on their performance in the group discussion and personal interview. The selected candidates must pay the admission fees and submit the required documents.

- Application:
- Prospective students can apply for UG admission at KIMS online or offline. The online application form can be accessed through the KIMS website. The offline application form can be obtained from the KIMS admissions office.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Pass in PUC II/10+2 in any subject from any recognised Board with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Selection Process:
- The selection process for UG admission at KIMS is based on the following parameters:
- Class XII marks.
- Performance in the KIMS Management Aptitude Test (KMAT).
- Group Discussion (GD).
- Personal Interview (PI).
- Counselling:
- Selected candidates will be invited for counselling to interact with the KIMS faculty and staff and learn more about the programs offered.
- Admission:
- Candidates successfully admitted to KIMS must pay the admission fee and submit the necessary documents.

Step 1: Check Eligibility
The first step in the KIMS MBA admission process is to check your eligibility. To be eligible for admission, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
- A valid score in one of the following management entrance tests: PGCET, CAT, XAT, KMAT, or MAT
Step 2: Apply Online
Once you have confirmed your eligibility, you can apply for admission online. The application form is available on the KIMS website. To complete the application form, you must provide your personal information, academic details, and work experience. You must also upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph, signature, and mark sheets.
Step 3: Shortlisting
Based on the applications received, KIMS will shortlist candidates for the next stage of the admission process. The shortlisting criteria include academic performance, entrance test scores, and work experience.
