IIIT Vadodara [IIITV] : Admissions

IIITV provides admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) Ph.D. programs. The institute implements an exact selection procedure to guarantee the acceptance of highly deserving candidates with exceptional academic achievements and a strong enthusiasm for technology.
Admission to IIITV's undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs is primarily based on national-level entrance exams. For UG admissions, the institute considers scores from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To be eligible for admission, aspirants must participate in JEE Main and achieve a valid score.
Regarding postgraduate (PG) admissions, IIITV considers scores from various entrance exams, including the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and the Common Admission Test (CAT). It is important to note that the specific entrance exams required for each PG program may differ. 

The admission process for UG programs at IITV involves the following steps:

Online Application: Applicants must complete the online application form for JEE Main Exam on MoE Exam Services Website.

Entrance Exam Score: Applicants must enter their JEE Main score in the application form.

Shortlisting: Based on the JEE Main scores, IIITV prepares a merit list and shortlists candidates for further selection rounds.

Counselling and Seat Allotment: Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling sessions conducted by Central Seat Allocation Board - CSAB. During the counselling process, candidates can select their preferred course based on their rank and the availability of seats.

Document Verification: Selected candidates must undergo document verification to confirm their eligibility for admission. They need to submit original documents and certificates for verification purposes.

Payment of Fees: After the document verification process, candidates must pay the admission fees to get their seats.

• Candidates must have passed the 12th examination or an equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum overall percentage of 60%.
• They should have taken the JEE Main examination and obtained a valid score. 

The following documents are generally needed for UG admissions at IIITV:

1. Mark sheets of 10th and 12th or equivalent examinations.
2. JEE Main scorecard.
3. Admit card and rank card of JEE Main.
4. Category certificate (if applicable).
5. Domicile certificate (if applicable).

• To be considered for admission into the program, applicants are required to provide valid GATE exam scores.
• Candidates with eligible GATE exam scores should apply to be considered.
• The selection process is based on merit, and only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage.
• Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to participate in CCMT counseling.
• Seat allocation during the counseling process will be based on the candidates' performance and preferences.
• Once the seat is allotted, successful students are required to complete the course fee payment and undergo document verification to confirm their admission.

1. Applicants must hold a B.Tech degree in the relevant field from an accredited university, with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0.
2. They should have a valid score in the specified entrance exam (GATE, CAT, Etc.)

1. Mark sheets of 10th, 12th, and bachelor's degree or equivalent examinations.
2. Scorecard of the specified entrance exam (GATE, CAT, Etc.).
3. Admit card and rank card of the entrance exam.
4. Category certificate (if applicable).
5. Domicile certificate (if applicable).
6. Passport-sized photographs.
7. Any other documents as specified by IIITV.
