IIIT UNA Admissions

  1. IIIT Una offers Admissions for various programmes BTech, MTech, and PhD programs. 
  2. The admission process for the BTech program considers the applicants' performance in JEE Mains. Then, selected candidates must participate in the JoSAA/DASA counselling procedure.
  3.  As for the MTech program, candidates can secure admission based on their GATE results.
  4.  For PhD Admissions, GATE/NET scores are considered, and The final selection will be based on written tests and interview performance. A Panel of experts in IIIT UNA does the interview.

IIIT UNA BTech Admission Process

  1. Application: The application form can be completed online on the IIIT Una website. The application fee is INR 1000 for General category candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  2. JEE Main: The JEE Main score is the primary factor for admission to IIIT Una. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) releases the cutoff for admission.
  3. JoSAA Counselling: Candidates who have qualified in the JEE Main exam will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling process. The counselling is conducted online, and candidates will be allotted seats based on their JEE Main scores and preferences.
  4. Document Verification: The documents submitted by the candidates will be verified by the institute.

IIIT UNA BTech Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 75% aggregate. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates. They must have a minimum of 65% aggregate.
  2. The candidate must have appeared and qualified for the JEE Main. 

IIIT UNA BTech Selection Criteria

  1. The candidate must have appeared and qualified for the JEE Main exam.
  2. Candidates will be selected based on their JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling.

IIIT UNA BTech Required Documents

  1. A passport-sized photograph of the candidate.
  2. The candidate's signature is in JPG format.
  3. Self-attested copies of Class X and Class XII mark sheets.
  4. The JEE Mains Score Card.
  5. The certificate confirms the seat confirmation from JOSAA/DASA.
  6. A photocopy of the fee payment receipt.
  7. A copy of the Aadhar Card.
  8. Either a PAN card or a Driving License.

IIIT UNA MTech Admission Process

  1. Application: The application form can be downloaded from the IIIT Una website. The application fee is INR 1000 for general category candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  2. GATE Score: Applicants must possess a valid GATE score to gain admission. The minimum GATE score required varies depending on the specialization.
  3. CCMT Counselling: The CCMT counselling will be held online. Applicants will be assigned positions according to their GATE scores and academic achievements. Candidates who have qualified for the GATE Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the exam will have the opportunity to participate in the CCMT (Common Counseling for MTech) organized by the IIITs.

IIIT UNA MTech Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants applying for the MTech program at IIIT Una must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BTech.) in CSE/IT disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in their qualifying degree.
  2. Candidates with any pending backlog in their qualifying degree will not be considered for admission.
  3. If the final semester result is awaited, candidates should have a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale and must not have any existing backlog papers.

IIIT UNA MTech Selection Criteria

  1. The GATE score is the primary selection criteria for admission. The minimum GATE score required for admission varies from program to program.
  2. Candidates who do not meet the minimum GATE score requirement may be considered for admission through the Institute-Written Test (IWT)
  3. The final selection of candidates will be based on their GATE score and performance in the IWT (if applicable).

IIIT UNA PhD Admission Process

  1. Apply Online: The application form can be downloaded from the IIIT Una website. The application fee is INR 1000 for general candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST candidates.
  2. Submit Application Documents: The following documents must be submitted along with the application form:
    1. Master's degree certificate
    2. Transcript of Master's degree
    3. GATE scorecard (if applicable)
    4. Research proposal (for full-time PhD)
    5. NOC from employer (for part-time PhD)
  3. Entrance Exams: Candidates must have valid scores in these relevant entrance exams GATE/NET.
  4. Shortlisting: The applications will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria and the academic record.
  5. Interview: The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. A panel of faculty members will conduct the interview.

IIIT UNA PhD Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate must have a Master's in Engineering/Technology or equivalent. Eligibility criteria for IIIT Una's PhD program include a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute.
  2. Candidates who have qualified for GATE/NET are preferred.
  3. Candidates with an MTech/M.E. degree from CFTIs with a minimum of 8.0 CGPA or 75% marks are exempted from GATE/NET qualification.

IIIT UNA PhD Selection Criteria

  1. Written Test: The written test will be 50 marks (30 MCQ of 1 mark each and 10 problem-solving questions of 2 mark each).
  2. Interview: The interview will be worth 50 marks and will be based on the candidate's academic background, research interests, and aptitude for research.
