IFIM Law School Admissions Process

  1. Apply Online: The application form can be obtained on the IFIM Law School website.
  2. Upload Documents: The following documents need to be uploaded along with the application form: 
    1. scanned copy of the mark sheets of all qualifying examinations,
    2. scanned copy of the degree certificate
    3. scanned copy of the passport-size photograph,
    4. scanned copy of the signature
  3. Write the Entrance Exam: Candidates should obtain a valid score in Entrance exams such as National: CLAT/ LSAT Institute: ILAT. The IFIM Law School entrance exam is computer-based (CBT). The exam will be conducted in multiple cities across India. The syllabus for the exam is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) syllabus.
  4. Shortlist: Candidates who pass the entrance exam will be selected for the personal interview round.
  5. Personal Interview: A panel of faculty members from IFIM Law School will conduct the personal interview. The interview will assess the candidate's communication skills, aptitude for law, and motivation for pursuing a legal career.
  6. Selection: The ultimate selection of candidates will depend on their performance in the entrance exam and the personal interview.

IFIM Law School BBA LLB Admission Process

  1. Eligibility: Applicants must have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks and valid score in entrance exams
  2. Application Process: Applicants have the option to apply either online or offline. The online application process is accessible through the IFIM Law School website, while the offline application form can be obtained from the IFIM Law School campus.
  3. Entrance Test: Applicants must appear for the IFIM Law Admission Test (IFIM LAT). The IFIM LAT is a computer-based test assessing the applicant's law and business aptitude.
  4. Personal Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a personal interview. A panel of IFIM Law School faculty experts will conduct the personal interview.
  5. Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the applicant's performance in the IFIM LSAT, personal interview, and academic record.

IFIM Law School BBA LLB Eligibility Criteria

  1. Completion of +2/PUC or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks.
  2. SC/ST candidates are granted a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement.
  3. The candidate's educational background should follow the 10/SSLC +2/PUC pattern.
  4. Applicants who have passed the minimum qualification in a single sitting examination without having the necessary essential qualification are not eligible for admission into the 5-year BBA, LL.B. course.

Additionally, candidates must:

  • Be 20 years of age or younger for general category applicants. 
  • Be 22 or younger for applicants from SC, ST, and other backward communities.
  • Suppose the candidate has passed their qualifying examination from a board of examination outside Karnataka State. In that case, they must apply for and obtain the Eligibility Certificate from Karnataka State Law University, Hubli.

Entrance Exam:

Candidates can gain admission through one of the following entrance exams:

  • CLAT (Common Law Admission Test)
  • LSAT-India (Law School Admission Test - India)
  • ILAT (IFIM's Law Admission Test)

IFIM Law School LLB Admission Process

  1. Eligibility: Applicants must have completed the 12th standard examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate score of 45%.
  2. Application Process: Candidates can apply for the LLB program at IFIM Law School online or offline. The online application process is available on the IFIM Law School website. The offline application form can be obtained from the IFIM Law School campus.
  3. Entrance Test: Candidates must attend the IFIM Law School Admission Test (ILSAT). The ILSAT is a standard entrance test conducted by IFIM Law School for admission to its LLB program.
  4. Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify for the ILSAT will be shortlisted for a personal interview. A panel of experts from IFIM Law School will conduct the personal interview.
  5. Final Selection: The final selection of candidates for the LLB program at IFIM Law School will be based on their performance in the ILSAT, personal interview, and academic record.

IFIM Law School LLB Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements:

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following academic criteria:

  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have secured marks at least 45%. For general category applicants, 44.5% and above will be considered 45% of the total marks, while for SC and ST applicants, 40% is the minimum requirement.
  • Age Limit: Candidates from the general category must be 30. For applicants from SC, ST, and other backward communities, the age limit is 35 years.
  • Educational Qualification: Applicants who have completed their graduation in any field of knowledge from a university established by an Act of Parliament, a State Legislature, or an equivalent national institution recognized as a Deemed University or a Foreign University acknowledged as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority with the competence to declare equivalence, are eligible to apply for the three-year degree program in law. Completing the regular program under these regulations leads to the conferral of an LL.B. degree.

Entrance Exam:

  • ILAT (IFIM's Law Admission Test): Admission can be obtained by clearing the CLAT/ LSAT/ ILAT entrance exam.
