AIIMS Gorakhpur : Admissions

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences Gorakhpur provides enrollment opportunities in various courses. These admissions consist of 1 MBBS program, 1 Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program, and 4 M.Sc programs. 1. The candidate must attend the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination) UG exam and secure a valid score.
2. The candidate must then participate in the NEET counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
3. In the NEET counselling, the candidate will be allotted a seat in AIIMS Gorakhpur based on their NEET score, category, and preferences.
4. The candidate must then report to AIIMS Gorakhpur and complete the admission formalities.

• The admissions are made through counselling based on the AIIMS NEET score.
• Students who want to apply must attend and secure the required rank in INI _ CET.
• Shortlisted candidates can attend the counselling and accept the offer.
• Candidates applying to PG-level courses must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship/ Practical training on or before July 30 of the admission year.

•  The candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects and secured 60% or more marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability) in aggregate.
• The candidate must have appeared and qualified in the NEET (UG) examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• The candidate must be a citizen of India.

1. The candidate must have passed a recognised Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
2. The candidate must have appeared and qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
3. The candidate must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council (INC).

• The candidate must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with compulsory subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• The minimum aggregate marks required are 60% for the General/OBC category and 50% for the SC/ST category.
• The candidate must have appeared in NEET and secured a minimum qualifying percentile per the category.
• The candidate must be physically and mentally fit to pursue the course.

2. The candidate must have appeared for and passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Nurses (NEET-N) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
3. The candidate must have a valid registration with the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
4. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

1. The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university/institute with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in aggregate.
2. The candidate must have appeared and qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the academic session 2023-24.
3. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
4. The candidate must be physically and mentally fit to pursue the course.

• Eligibility: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• National Eligibility Test (NET): Candidates must have qualified for the NET (National Eligibility Test) or the State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or any other test accredited by the UGC.
• GATE: Candidates with a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline and a GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score are also eligible to apply.
• Weightage: The final selection will be based on the candidate's academic performance, NET/GATE score, and performance in a personal interview.

2. The candidate must apply online through the AIIMS Gorakhpur PhD Admission Portal.
3. The candidate must appear in the AIIMS Gorakhpur PhD Entrance Examination.
4. The candidate must qualify for the entrance examination with a minimum of 50% marks.
5. The candidate must be shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in the entrance examination.
6. The candidate must appear for an interview with the AIIMS Gorakhpur PhD Selection Committee.
7. The candidate will be admitted to the Ph.D. program based on their performance in the entrance examination, discussion, and research proposal.

• Educational Qualification:
• Medical Education Qualification: MBBS/BDS with 50% min. or MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh or Diplomate of NBE.
• Nursing Qualification- Candidates holding an M.Sc degree with 50% min. in Nursing speciality may also be able to apply.
• Non-Medical Qualification: MSc (Other than MSc Nursing), M Biotech/ M Tech degree / M Com / MBA/ MPH with at least 55% marks or equivalent in the last eligibility examination qualified.
• Age limit:
• For regular candidates: 35 years
• For in-service candidates: 40 years
• Research experience:
• Candidates should have at least one year of research experience in a recognised research institute or university.
• National Eligibility Test (NET)/Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE):
• Candidates must have qualified for the NET/GATE exam in the relevant discipline.
• Entrance Examination:
• Candidates must appear and qualify for the AIIMS Gorakhpur PhD entrance examination.

• The candidate must be a regular employee of the Institute (AIIMS Gorakhpur) and should have rendered at least two years of continuous service at the institute.
• They should fulfil all the eligibility criteria for the PhD course, will appear in the entrance examination and must score at least 50% marks.
• The individual should have five years of active service remaining in the institute.
• The candidate should have a proven track record of active involvement in research / academic activities of the department.
