Padmashree Group of Institutions Admissions

The admission process at PGI is merit-based, and there are separate application processes for Indian and international students. For Indian students, the application process begins in June, and the last date to apply is in August. For international students, the application process starts in September, and the later application date is October.

The Padmashree Group of Institutions admission process is as follows:

  1. Check the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to apply for. 
  2. Download the application form from the official website of the institute.
  3. Fill out the application form carefully and submit it with the required documents. 
  4. Pay the application fee. 
  5. Appear for the entrance exam, if required. 
  6. Wait for the merit list to be released. 
  7. If your name is on the merit list, you will be called for an interview. 
  8. If you are selected, you will be offered admission to the course.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Application Process

The application process for PGI is as follows:

  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Upload your scanned copies of the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • The college will contact you after document verification.
  • Appear for the entrance exam and personal interview if necessary. 
  • Wait for the results.
  • Pay the fees and confirm the admission on selection.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BPT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission to the first-year Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) program must meet the following requirements:

Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have passed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State. This examination must include English as one of the subjects, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. Additionally, candidates must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually.

OR

Candidates may have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by the State Government/Central Government, recognized as equivalent to a two-year Pre-University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This examination should also include English as one of the subjects, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. Furthermore, candidates must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually.

OR

Candidates who have completed a Pre-university course with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to the BPT course.

OR

Lateral entry is available for the third year of the 4½-year BPT Course. Students who have completed the DPT course conducted by the paramedical board are eligible for lateral entry.

Marks: Selection for the Physiotherapy course is based on merit. For admission based on the qualifying examination, candidates must have individually passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with an aggregate of not less than 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Category I, the aggregate required is not less than 40% instead of 45%.

Age: Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course should have completed 17 years as of December 31st of the admission year.

Medical Fitness: Before admission, every candidate must provide a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Government Medical Officer, confirming their physical fitness to undergo the Physiotherapy course to the Principal of the Institution.

Candidates who have completed the two-year Pre-University course in Karnataka State or its equivalent are eligible for admission to this course.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BCom Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed the two-year Pre-University course in Karnataka State or its equivalent, with Business Studies and Accountancy as significant subjects in both the first and second years of pre-university, are eligible for admission to this course.

Candidates who have completed the two-year pre-university examinations conducted by the Karnataka PU Education Board or any other examination deemed equivalent are eligible for admission to B.Voc in Food Processing and Nutraceuticals.

Candidates should have obtained a passing grade in PUC/12th standard/10+2 or its equivalent in the science stream, with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BCA Eligibility Criteria

Completing PUC/12th standard/10+2 or its equivalent in the science stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% is required for eligibility.

Individuals who have successfully finished a two-year Pre-University course or its equivalent, with Business Studies and Accountancy as their two major subjects, are eligible for consideration.

Students who have completed the two-year Pre-University course in Karnataka State or its equivalent can apply for admission to the BBA degree course.

Students who have finished the two-year Pre-University course in Karnataka State or its equivalent can apply for admission to the BBA degree course.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BBA Aviation Management Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed the Two-year Pre-University course or its equivalent are eligible to be considered for admission into this course.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BSc Medical Laboratory Technology [BSc MLT] Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Course in MLT, a candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  • The candidate should have studied English as one of the principal subjects during the course.
  • Qualification Options: Two-year Pre-University examination or an equivalent qualification recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as study subjects.

OR

    • A pre-Degree course from a recognized University is considered equivalent by RGUHS (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as study subjects.

OR

    • Any equivalent examination recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects of study.

OR

    • The vocational higher secondary education course is conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala, with five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, in addition to vocational subjects. This course is equivalent to the plus TWO examinations of the Government of Karnataka Pre-University Course.

OR

    • Candidates with a two-year diploma from a recognized Government Board in a subject relevant to the desired enrollment in the BSc MLT course must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects. Alternatively, candidates with a three-year diploma from a recognized Government Board in a relevant subject should have studied Physics, Biology, and Chemistry during the course.

Lateral Entry: Lateral entry to the second year of allied health science courses is available for candidates who have completed a diploma program from Government Boards recognized by RGUHS. These candidates must fulfil the conditions specified in point 2 above. Note that such candidates are eligible for lateral entry only in the same subject they studied at the diploma level, starting from the academic year 2008-09, as per RGUHS Notification No. AUTH/AHS/317/2008-09 dated 01.08.2008.

Additional Notes:

  • The candidate must have passed each of the subjects individually.
  • Candidates who have completed a diploma or vocational courses through Correspondence are not eligible for the abovementioned courses.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BSc Medical Laboratory Technology [BSc MLT] Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Course in MLT, a candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  • The candidate should have studied English as one of the principal subjects during the course.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Diploma in GNM Eligibility Criteria

  1. Successful completion of 10+2 with English is required. Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination and must have passed English individually from any recognized board. Candidates from state open schools recognized by state governments and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the central government are also eligible. A background in science is preferred.
  2. Possession of 10+2 with English and a minimum of 40% marks in the vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  3. Holding 10+2 in English and obtaining 40% marks in the health care science vocational stream from a recognized CBSE board/state/centre.
  4. Registered ANMs with a passing mark.

For Foreign Nationals: Equivalency of the entry qualification (12th standard) will be determined by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The institution and state nursing council will ensure that the qualifications and eligibility are equivalent to the above-prescribed criteria.

Reservation:

  1. Disability Reservation: A 3% reservation is allocated for disabled candidates with a locomotor disability ranging from 40% to 50% of the lower extremity. Other age and qualification criteria remain as prescribed for each nursing program. A committee consisting of a medical officer authorized by the state government's medical board and a nursing expert will be formed to determine whether candidates have a locomotor disability within the specified range.
  2. SC/ST Relaxation: A 5% relaxation of total marks is granted to SC/ST candidates.
  3. Other Reservations: Any additional reservations will follow the guidelines provided by the state government.

Note: Reservations will be applied within the sanctioned number of seats set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and not exceed this limit.

Padmashree Group of Institutions BSc in Nursing Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State. They should have studied English as one of the subjects and had Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. Candidates must pass English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually, and they should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) combined in the qualifying examination. For candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes, the minimum required marks in PCBE are 40% instead of 50%.

OR

Candidates may have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate Education established by State Governments/Central Government, recognized as equivalent to the two-year Pre-University examination by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Association of Indian Universities (AIU). They should have studied English as one of the subjects and had Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. Candidates must pass English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually, and they should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (PCBE) combined in the qualifying examination. Candidates from the stream of Vocational Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, should have taken a minimum of 5 (five) subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, in addition to the vocational subject. They should have passed the examination in all subjects individually and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in the qualifying examination. For candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes, the minimum required marks in PCBE are 40% instead of 50%. Additionally:

  • Candidates should have completed 17 years on or before December 31st of the year of admission.
  • Candidates must meet the medical fitness requirements.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic ) Eligibility Criteria

  • Possess a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
  • Hold registration as a nurse.
  • Demonstrate at least two years of experience in hospital or community health nursing.
  • Have successfully cleared the Pre University Examination in Arts/Science/Commerce conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, or an equivalent qualification recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
  • Exhibit a functional understanding of the English language.
  • Meet the requirement of being in good medical health.
  • Maintain a commendable personal and professional track record.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Bachelor in Hospital Administration Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Bachelor in Hospital Administration (BHA) program, candidates must have completed the Pre University Certificate course or any equivalent course recognized by the State and Central Education Boards.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Bachelor in Public Health Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission to the BPH course should meet the following criteria:
Completion of higher secondary level or pre-university college (10+2) in any stream.

Note: Candidates from streams other than science will undertake a 2-month bridge course in college. This bridge course does not include exams.
OR

  • Completion of a 3-year Diploma in Allied Health Sciences after 10th grade.

OR

  • Completion of a 2-year Diploma in Allied Health Sciences after pre-university college (10+2).

OR

  • Successful completion of an equivalent course established under the law, as considered equal by RGUHS.

Examples of eligible Diploma courses (not limited to the following list):

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Diploma in X-Ray Technology.
  • Diploma in Health Inspector.
  • Diploma in Medical Records Technology.
  • Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology.
  • Diploma in Dialysis Technology.
  • Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology.
  • Diploma in Dental Mechanics.
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
  • Diploma in Community Health.

Minimum requirement: 40% marks obtained. For SC/ST candidates, passing in 10+2 or equivalent is sufficient.
Lateral Entry:

  • Candidates with a 3-year Diploma in any health sciences or public health/community medicine diploma can directly join the 3rd semester. This is possible if they have received training in at least three topics from the 1st and 2nd semesters of the BPH curriculum of RGUHS or equivalent issues related to public health. 
  • Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma after 12th/10+2/PUC are eligible for direct entry into the 2nd year.

Padmashree Group of Institutions MPT Eligibility Criteria

  • Successful completion of B.Sc. (PT) or BPT degree, with a minimum duration of 3½ years, from RGUHS or any other university in India or abroad recognized as equivalent.
  • Attainment of a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Completing a compulsory rotating internship lasting six months in a recognized Physiotherapy College.

Padmashree Group of Institutions MBA Eligibility Criteria

  • A graduate degree obtained under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern in any discipline, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, including languages. The degree must be from a recognized University in India or abroad.
  • An honours degree earned under the 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university operating under the UGC Act, with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, including languages.
  • Candidates who have completed a bachelor's or master's degree through Correspondence or the Open University system from this University or any other university recognized by law are exempt from the 10+2 pattern requirement. The duration of these degrees should be three and two years, respectively.
  • Candidates who have obtained a bachelor's/master's degree in a single-sitting pattern in any university system are not eligible.
  • For SC/ST/Cat I candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate of marks obtained.
  • All admissions to CBSMS and affiliated colleges will be conducted through an entrance test approved by the Government of Karnataka and State Level Counseling. Admissions will be based on Rank Merit and reservation rules according to the Government of Karnataka seat matrix.

Padmashree Group of Institutions MCom Eligibility Criteria

An eligible candidate must have completed the B.Com/B.B.M/BBS and BBA Degree examinations from either this University or any other recognized University with equivalency. They should have achieved an aggregate of at least 50% marks in all Commerce subjects and Business Education across all years of the B.Com/BBM course to qualify for admission to the program.
For SC/ST/Cat-I students and blind students, the minimum required percentage of marks will be reduced by 5%.

Candidates who have obtained a recognized life science degree from a university are eligible if they have secured an aggregate of 50% marks.

Individuals with a life science degree from a recognized university are eligible if they have attained an aggregate of 50% marks.

Candidates who have completed a life science degree from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions MSc Applied Genetics Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with an aggregate of 50% marks in any life science degree from a recognized university are eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions MSc in Food Technology Eligibility Criteria

Individuals who have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in a life science degree from a recognized university are deemed eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Voc in Food Processing and Nutraceuticals Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who have obtained a life science degree from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Voc Medical Lab Technology Eligibility Criteria

An aggregate of 50% marks in any life science degree from a recognized university qualifies as eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Voc in Medical Biotechnology Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a life science degree from a recognized university and an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Voc Food Technology and Quality Management Eligibility Criteria

Individuals who have achieved an aggregate of 50% marks in a life science degree from a recognized university are qualified for eligibility.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in a life science degree from a recognized university are considered eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Master of Science in Food and Nutrition Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with a cumulative 50% mark in a life science degree from a recognized university are deemed eligible.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology in Clinical Biochemistry Eligibility Criteria

  • Successful completion of B.Sc MLT/BMLT course from institutions affiliated with RGUHS or other universities recognized as equivalent by RGUHS.
  • Candidates with a B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology is eligible to enrol in M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology, respectively.
  • Candidates who have pursued B.Sc MLT through a correspondence course are not eligible.
  • Admittance to the postgraduate degree course requires candidates to possess an eligibility certificate issued by the University. Application for the certificate should be submitted to the University along with the prescribed fee and the following documents: 
    • Pass/degree certificate issued by the University.
    • Marks cards from all university examinations completed.
    • Migration certificate.
    • Proof of SC/ST or Category-I status, as applicable.
  • Candidates must secure the eligibility certificate before the University's notified last date for admission.

  • Successful completion of the B.Sc MLT course from institutions affiliated with RGUHS or from other universities deemed equivalent by RGUHS.
  • Candidates who hold a B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to apply for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology, respectively.
  • Individuals who have obtained their B.Sc MLT degree through a correspondence course are not eligible.
  • Candidates must obtain the eligibility certificate before the University's specified last date for admission, as indicated in the notification.

Padmashree Group of Institutions M.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Eligibility Criteria

  • Successful completion of the B.Sc MLT course from institutions affiliated with RGUHS or other universities recognized as equivalent by RGUHS.
  • Candidates holding a B.Sc. in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry or B.Sc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to apply for M.Sc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry or M.Sc MLT in Microbiology and Immunology, respectively.
  • Individuals who have obtained their B.Sc MLT degree through a correspondence course are ineligible.
  • Admission to the postgraduate degree course is conditional upon candidates obtaining and presenting the eligibility certificate issued by the University. Candidates are required to apply to the University, accompanied by the prescribed fee and the following documents: 
    • Pass/degree certificate issued by the University.
    • Marks cards for all university examinations completed.
    • Migration certificate.
    • Certificate of conduct.
    • Proof of SC/ST or Category-I status, if applicable.
  • Candidates must obtain the eligibility certificate before the University's stipulated last date for admission, as notified by the University.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Master in Science Nursing Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must hold registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or possess equivalent qualifications recognized by any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The minimum educational requirement entails completing one of the following programs: B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Hons. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
  • The candidate's education should have been undertaken at an institution acknowledged by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience after completing a B.Sc. Nursing is necessary.
  • Additionally, at least one year of work experience before or after completing a Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is required.
  • Candidates must also meet the criterion of being medically fit.
  • There is a provision for a 5% relaxation in marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Masters in Hospital Administration Eligibility Criteria

Option 1: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields, obtained from an institution recognized by the respective council where applicable, and affiliated with RGUHS: MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post introductory), B.Pharm, B.Sc in Allied Health Sciences, BAMS / BHMS / BUMS, or from any other university established under law and considered equivalent by RGUHS. Additionally, candidates must have acquired permanent registration in the relevant state council, where applicable.

OR

Option 2: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or Management from a university established under law and recognized by the University Grants Commission. They should have achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in all years of university examinations during their degree course. For SC/ST candidates, the required minimum marks are set at 45%.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Masters in Public Health Eligibility Criteria

Applicants seeking admission to the Masters in Public Health (MPH) course should possess a degree in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BNYS, B.Sc Nursing, BPT, B.Pharm, or B.Sc in Allied Health Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks from a university established under the law, considered equivalent by RGUHS.

Padmashree Group of Institutions Masters in Clinical Research Eligibility Criteria

An acknowledged bachelor's degree in any Health Science subject with a minimum of 50% marks or a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences with Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Organic Chemistry as one of the main subjects during their graduation.
