BLibISc (Bachelor of Library & Information Science) is a one-year duration undergraduate course in Library Science. In the BLibISc course, students are taught various aspects of library science including management, maintenance, and preservation of information using sources of education as well as information technology.
Bachelor of Library & Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc] Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to the programme is as given below.
10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45-50% marks from a recognized board or equivalent CGPA.
5% relaxation for the reserved category students.
Bachelor of Library & Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc] Admission Process
There are two kinds of admission process for the program enrolment. Entrance based and merit-based.
Entrance Based Admission: Here the admission is allotted based on the entrance exams conducted by the respective institution.
Merit-Based Admission: This also can be called as Management Quota admission or Direct admission. The admission is allotted based on the marks obtained in the competitive examination. In this admission process, the student has to apply directly to the desired university or college through their application process. Some of them offer online and some offline.
