Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) is an undergraduate program under the mass communication stream. The programme provides aspirants with knowledge about various journalistic skills in mass media such as newspapers, television, radio, internet etc. It will also impart knowledge about various technology, equipment, and software involved in mass media. The programme has a duration of 3 years spread in six semesters.

Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication [BJMC] Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission to this program are as given below. 

• Different institutes across the country have different eligibility criteria. However, the basic eligibility is HSC with a minimum of 50-60% marks. This requirement varies from college to college. 
• 5% relaxation is allowed for students from reserved communities. 
• The applicant must completed 17 years old while applying. 

Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication [BJMC] Admission Process 

There are two kinds of admission process for the program enrolment. Entrance-based and merit-based. 

Entrance Based Admission: Here the admission is allotted based on the entrance exams conducted by the relevant institute. Students with the relevant cutoff marks will get the admission in the respective colleges after counseling. 

Merit-Based Admission: This also can be called Management Quota admission or Direct admission. In this admission process, the student has to apply directly to the desired university or college through their application process. Some of them offer online and some offline.
